Oracle Soa Server Installation

Now we can start with soa specific installation. There is quite confusion over the oracle soa 11.1.1.3.0 installation. The issue is is a 11.1.1.3.0 patchset rather then a complete installer, hence first 1.1.1.2.0 need to be installed and then we need to install 11.1.1.3.0 at the top of it. So we need both the files, that is the reason I mentioned both the files in the prerequisite.

3. SOA Server Installation.
3.1 Unzip the files ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0_disk1_1of1.zip and ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0_disk1_1of1.zip both.

3.2 Start your database if not in the running condition.

3.3 Now go to the directory ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0_disk1_1of1\Disk1 and then click on setup.exe, it will ask you the location of your JDK. JDK is a part of the standard weblogic installation. So check the directory where you have installed the weblogic in the previous step jdk must be there, for me the location is D:\Oracle\MW_HOME\jdk160_21. Paste this location to the command window and press enter, this window will disappear and installation wizard will come to screen.

3.4 Click next on first screen nothing is need to be changed, click next.

3.5 This screen check the system for the prerequisite, click next.

3.6 Next screen change the oracle home to the directory where you have installed the weblogic. Click next

3.7 This is a information only screen, click install. It will start the installation process.

3.8 Now screen will display the progress of the installation. Once its done click on next and then finish.

Now so installation has been done we need to to patch it with the 11.1.1.3.0 version. for that step is almost similar its all the repetitive steps from the 3.3 to 3.8.

4.1 Now go to the directory ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0_disk1_1of1\Disk1 and then click on setup.exe, it will ask you the location of your JDK. JDK is a part of the standard weblogic installation. So check the directory where you have installed the weblogic in the previous step jdk must be there, for me the location is D:\Oracle\MW_HOME\jdk160_21. Paste this location to the command window and press enter, this window will disappear and patchset installation wizard will come to screen.

4.2 Now this screen is informative only just click next.

4.3 Set the oracle home to the directory where you have installed the weblogic and then soa suit.

4.4 Now click on install, no change can be done here.

4.5 One the installation wizard finish, click on the next and then finish.

Now we are done with the oracle soa suit installation.

Now we need to create a weblogic server with enterprise manager with SOA support. I am creating a single server having Admin server and SOA server both.

Please click on next to install weblogic server with SOA support.
